Why Merge PDFs?
Sometimes you end up with a bunch of separate PDF files that really belong together — maybe chapters of a document, pages of a form, or scanned pages you saved one at a time. Instead of sending ten different files, you can combine them into one clean PDF. Much easier for you, and for whoever you are sharing it with.
Situations Where This Helps
- Job Applications: Your CV, cover letter, and certificates are separate files. Merge them into one PDF to send as a single attachment.
- Contracts and Agreements: Combine a main contract with its annexures so everything is in one document.
- Scanned Documents: If you scanned a multi-page document one page at a time, merge all the pages back into one file.
- Reports: Put together monthly reports, charts, and supporting data pages into a single PDF for sharing.
- Study Notes: Merge lecture notes from different weeks into one revision document.
How to Merge Your PDFs
- Click "Choose Files" and select two or more PDF files. You can select them all at once.
- The list of selected files appears in the tool.
- Click "Merge PDFs" — the files are combined in the order you selected them.
- Watch the progress bar, then click "Download Merged PDF" when it is ready.
Good to Know
Q: Does the order matter?
A: Yes. The PDFs are merged in the order you select them. Pick your files in the order you want them to appear in the final document.
Q: How many files can I merge?
A: There is no hard limit. Just select all the files you need. Very large PDFs may take a moment to process.
Q: Are my files safe?
A: Yes. The merging happens in your browser using pdf-lib. Nothing is sent to any server.
